RTP and House Edge Explained
Before playing online casino games, it is very important to understand RTP (Return to Player). RTP is a percentage that shows how much a game returns on average for every ৳100 wagered over a long period. For example, a slot game with 96% RTP means an average of ৳96 comes back for every ৳100 bet.
The difference in RTP across game categories is significant. Slot games typically have an RTP of around 92% to 98%, while skill-based table games like blackjack come close to 99%. Roulette RTP generally falls between 94% and 97%, depending on whether the European or American variant is being played.
House edge is the other side of RTP — it is the casino's own profit percentage. If a game's RTP is 96%, the house edge is 4%. This means the casino keeps an average of ৳4 from every ৳100 wagered over the long term. Keep in mind that these figures are averages across millions of spins or hands — any outcome is possible in the short term.
Understanding volatility is also important: high-volatility games offer bigger wins that come less often, while low-volatility games pay out smaller wins more frequently. Choosing the right game based on your budget and playing style is the mark of a smart player.

How to Read Odds
To understand online betting, knowing how to read odds is essential. Odds are presented in different formats in different countries, but the easiest to follow is decimal odds.
Decimal Odds
With decimal odds, you can directly see the total return on your bet. Formula: Total Return = Bet × Odds
Profit = ৳900 − ৳500 = ৳400
Implied Probability
Odds can also tell you the estimated probability of an outcome: Probability (%) = 1 ÷ Odds × 100
Fractional and American Formats
| Format | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.80 | Total return of ৳1.80 for a ৳1 bet |
| Fractional | 4/5 | ৳4 profit on a ৳5 bet |
| American | −125 | Must bet ৳125 to win ৳100 |
